Florida Tomato Open-Faced BLT

Ingredients

2 medium ripe Florida tomatoes, cored and sliced to desired thickness

6 Florida bib or butter lettuce leaves

6 to 8 slices thick cut bacon, cooked to desired crispness

2 slices of your favorite bread, toasted

¼ cup Charred Florida Tomato Dressing

1 teaspoon fresh herbs (basil, parsley, thyme), chopped fine

Sea salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste

 

Preparation

Assemble by first spreading a heaping portion of the Charred Florida Tomato Dressing on the top of each toasted slice of bread. Next, add the lettuce and bacon. Top each sandwich with the sliced Florida tomatoes. Season the top of each sandwich with sea salt, fresh ground pepper and fresh herbs. Serve immediately with extra Charred Florida Tomato Dressing on the side.
